By head honcho, you mean Lunyred was it? I remember him vaguely, ran a net cafe in some south Asian country if I remember correctly. Wonder how he is these days.

Yeah it's nice. Was up in the early morning, decided to check up on some old forums I used to frequent many years ago. Most were deleted, the others dead, this is the only exception really.

I should get back into a Touhou game myself, have some sitting on my shelves that I never got around to, some I never finished (particularly 幻想少女大戦夢). Or I could make a trip to a good shop I know in Akiba and see what they have when I have the time.

it's quite nice seeing this place become a little bit more lively and also people who were here like 5+ years ago and saw the history of this place returning (and witnessing the photobucket and tinypic destruction lol) is really cool
DDdreamer's the admin right now because Lunyred retired, though if Lunyred returned that would definitely be something to see
in the thread where I saw that happen I think either Lunyred or someone else mentioned he had a myanimelist account named Lunyrem and when I went to see I think he was online like a week ago or something
it aint much but good thing he's still out there lol
it is very nice to have more people here and hopefully this encourages more people to post so there can be one less dead internet forum

I am completely out of the loop, but if ZUN does a remake I'll hop on a train and pick it up. I'd be excited for that, the older ones such as EOSD are less accessible these days. The stores in Akiba even sell them for about half the price as a slightly newer title (TH11 and onward)

To be fair, IN is a great one to own. I should get my hands on that one someday, usually I just buy the newest one when it gets released, although I have lost track now of which one is the newest haha

i wish i could afford the physical games, but there are too many, and shipping can get costly. i've got a couple of the hifuu music cds and print works though, actually found forbidden scrollery at a local bookstore somehow

the newest games are pretty cool though, and if it's been a while since youve played em you gotta check out violet detector and 17.5. 17.5 is still a demo but its got some crazy graphics and a funky gameplay style, and violet detector may have a bit of jank but there are some pretty neat things you can do with the upgrades you get, esp. if you get the patch that rebinds teleport to c instead of double tap shift

Yeah I imagine shipping niche goods across oceans can get costly. That's cool that even at a local place you could find something, never quite know what they might have.


Just looked 17.5 up, looks beautiful.
I might head and pick a copy up when it gets released. I have often passed Akiba on trains when heading to Chiba, haven't had a reason to get off there in a while though
Don't know much about violet detector, might give it a look too when I have a bit more time.
