great news though, it's finally dropping sometime this month

you can see it right in its own lil steam page, branded with "RELEASE DATE: Aug 2021". if the other games i've put on my steam wishlist before they've come out is any indication, this means it will probably release sometime during winter of 2024. hopefully it does not follow the terrible trend

no idea how much it will cost, probably like fifteen bucks

it doesn't seem like there's a comiket or reitaisai going on around that time, so i guess it's releasing online-first like unconnected marketeers. perhaps the days of scouring the annals of twitter on the day of release to get a download link from a guy who reposted it from a 4chan leak made by a dude who was actually at the event are over

looks cool as always and its already been deobfuscated so unless they massively overhauled the engine translation should be speedy

apparently you can't get the whole story out of just one playthrough so multiple routes are required
and they say some "toutetsu" person related to wbawc will be in there though I did not play it so I don't know what that means

toutetsu is some important dude in the evnts of 17.5 that doesnt actually show up. there are the three animal families of eagle, otter, and wolf and the leads of two of them, yachie for otter and saki for wolf. toutetsu is mentioned as the leader of the eagles and thats all we know (i do not know this by playing the game since it has been a while but i remembered enough to be able to punch in things into the wiki)

at this rate 17.5 will include strange water characters such as our favorite waggy saggy who can't walk and therefore is limited to the most extreme flight-only-with-no-dedicated-jump-button playthroughs

are the families also the cause of those beast spirit things that take over the screen in no hyper playthroughs

not worth a new post but there are now less than 60 hours before the end of august in japan and not even a mention of the game since the august release announcement as far as I know

I am honestly glad they did this
not the diddling and fiddling but the fact that they actually stopped giving release dates
and just straight up said they didn't finish it and it'll come out when it's done like everyone was hoping they'd say
a release date of n/0
I was expecting new numbers every damn month but we have been liberated from the cycle of redelay
let's just hope it is not another 13.5

i do not mind the delay massively but i do wish they would be a bit more transparent as to why
if it's like "we are making the game as awesome as possible" like i'm assuming things are gonna be great but if its like "we lost all the data and had to start from scratch" or "our artist is MIA" i'm gonna be able to not go into the release expecting way more than was possible for them

whatever doesn't matter it'll be awesome they should release it and also do so without changing how the game is structured massively because if i remember correctly the demos are very moddable

basically unabara says he got sick and "environment conditions" (I dunno what this means I used google translate because have not done my reps in a year)
there were development issues as well that they only noticed after finishing a route
and nobody said anything because they didn't prioritize telling us what was going on

also he said they are focusing on "two characters that have had a particular impact"
I am assuming this is kanakp and murasa but hey the theories state it is mima and evil mima

hopefully they just make game and be done with it and not have to patch in murasa or anything though yeah
