So here's a little poll i decided to make

I think I first played a few touhou games and saw youtube stuff around 2012-2014 but I didn't do much else until around fall 2019 (man three and a half years ago)
so I'll say 2017-2019

i think i'm barely on the border of 2016 and 2017, but i kinda forget so i'll go with 2017
basically ancient times by this point

Those were the days.....
Y'know, the games before UFO have a somewhat of a unique charm, like i don't know maybe it's because the character portraits were more detailed and reminiscient of early 2000's anime. They make me feel nostalgic for a time i didn't even experience lol

personally I like to split it into eras or groups or whatever
1-5 and then 6 then 7-9 then 10-13 then 14 and on
EoSD and DiPP specifically have a kinda nostalgic old feeling to them to me maybe because of the oranges and reds or the kinda "japanese perception of western clothing/music/whatever" or something I dunno
7-9 feels like the development of new ideas and concepts both in the games and the books/manga/cds then 10-13 is when game finally decides what it's trying to do and you get all the religious wars and stuff

I dunno a whole lot about the stuff past 13 both because I made like two attempts to play all of those and also because there has been one (1) artbook released past ten desires but yeah I get it I get it them olds have something to them
