some claim it has to be fake considering how bad it looks, others defend it by saying it's IS, what did you expect? if it's this bad, it must be real! (it was later claimed by some leaker that it was an earlier build and there is noticeable improvement later)
it was also claimed the game was finished almost a year ago which doesn't make much sense and was created to celebrate fire emblem's 30th anniversary, including a mechanic where you can summon "FE characters from the past" similar to the mechanic in hit Wii U title tokyo mirage sessions SMTxFE (or those einherjars from 3ds I suppose but that's not as fun)
also apparently has "only one route like awakening" 
if this is true (and the maps are not awakening-tier) then perhaps we will have an actual quality full real 100% good game (or not because 2022 dunno)

apparently the development involved the studio that makes atelier games which is why every portrait looks the same
and many ideas from the canceled wii game (this one fireemblemwiki.org/wiki/Fire_Emblem_Wii ) are said to have been recycled here
I heard about this game when looking at tellius stuff so I'm kinda hoping it's legit I thought it looks nice

does it seem good? hell if I know (honestly it's more important that it exists so I don't have to hear a million things about the three houses anymore thank god)
but what's more important is if this is real
one of the two "leakers" is said to be quite dubious and has made many right but also wrong predictions
in this tweet

you can see she can't even confirm the legitimacy of screenshots from her own leak
and the other, as you can see in their post, claims the rumors of an FE4 remake are real
I don't think I've ever seen someone who "confirms" a remake who was actually correct and I have reason to doubt everything this person says including the fact that they exist at all as a result

I could see this being a chinese bootleg copying off of three houses and that's what I initially thought when I first saw these images
anna is present but otherwise I don't see any particular reason to believe this is real yet
I am aware it's supposed to be in chinese because this is mid-localization though it looks like a mobile game (specifically that genshin impact one) and the avatar is a vtuber
apparently there might be a nintendo direct at the end of june that could include this
that is a separate rumor (lol) but I haven't seen a nintendo direct in almost five years (fittingly last time was SMTV) so I genuinely do not know when those happen
either way though the protagonist of this "fire emblem 17" is literally toothpaste beano so even if I don't believe it in particular thread's goin up

Funny you mention Genshin, the character designs, especially the MC, make me think of medieval honkai, which is basically what Genshin is. If the China lead is real, then I suspect it's at best a new IP with FE gameplay hence the designs; they want a slice of the china pie. Wouldn't make sense for them to hodl the game though, by 2021 it should've been pretty obvious that games were selling better than ever and they would've wanted to push it out

character models look fairly like 3H? kind of points to it being real, since naturally they'd want to reuse the rendering engine if they already have one, but could just be a well made mod that they dolled up or just reverse engineered the art style

not sure where they could go with this, it's either just going to be heroes where you can use ike/marth/robin/your favorite here, in which case you should probably just play heroes (unless it is going to be heroes 2?) or if they try integrating them, would probably be a writing deadlock since most of the main characters follow the same "good hearted person who learns to lead" arc plus the problem of integrating an FE multiverse, which is honkai related I think?

in general? leaning towards fake or not a mainline FE game

I looked up this honkai impact and it looks very similar as well
I think there started to be conflicting information where one person said it was already done for a year while another said the crusty images were from an incomplete december 2021 build

so the more believable option would be they don't want to take attention away from that and chose not to reveal this yet 

I have not looked into how heroes plays so I only know about awakening (did play) and TMS (didn't play)
in awakening older characters were basically DLC additions where they talk and act as they always have but since they're only in DLC (and I don't recall any legitimate explanation as to why it's possible) I have no idea how they'd be incorporated into a main story
hell they don't even have dialogue upon leveling up or anything it's just "..." or "...!" if it's a good one
and in TMS I heard it's basically "fire emblem character is summoned in a cutscene and then never does anything of note again"
no clue how/if they'd be able to make it work without making old characters basically nonexistent outside of name and portrait
I was thinking it'd be similar to how awakening did it (fanservice dlc) because that was supposed to be a celebration of the series and the final game but they claim it's a new mechanic

also unrelated but did you play on both eirika and ephraim routes
if so is ephraim route an improvement because I still have yet to bother finishing eirika endgame and I dunno if I should even bother going for round 2

I guess it could be that, but assuming it's another TBS that's a pretty different calling than a HNS, plus it's not like that's a move missing from the nintendo playbook. or 3 houses is still their cash cow so they'll keep running with that
Heroes is a gacha game, so everything that entails. you can collect pretty much every character in the series but the most writing 90% get is some flavor dialogue unless they get a (temporary) event with a tiny side story; everything in the plot revolves around the OCs
that's mainly what i'm thinking, the characters really only show up for their special chapter then that's it; they basically had to force them into the partial canon fanfic bubble spaces or whatever, kind of like the children from fates I think? keeps them out of the main plot while still having a loose excuse to have them in

it's basically maroon vs burgundy, there's some differences but generally if you liked playing her route you'll probably like his

i had no stock in any of the games they talked about the entire stream except emblem (i still haven't played breath of the wild) so i have no helpful commentary but i am happy for you about pick man (sequel to pack man? requires further investigation)

the ui and map looked nice but everything else was so plain, so boring. why is marth here? can we get rid of him please? fine chap but i feel like hes simply a bit too nosy. tipper is the coolest thing about him and it does not exist in fire emblem

to be honest if the artstyle weren't such ass I'd be able to find much humor and entertainment in that awful design in the same way I find humor in dolph and macellan as the most worthless entities in all of archanea

also marth is here because of the thing rumored above in this thread where this game's gimmick is being heroes 2 since the intro thing showed many of the lords

and marth+sigurd (zigludo-sama) were shown to be playable so if this game has dlc then lolmao

I can see this either going surprisingly well or just being absolutely awful depending on how they incorporate the old lords and whoever

not like I know anything about those games anyway other than "even more anime ace attorney" so maybe this was all in there already and I misunderstand but they really uhhh
they really pulled an atlus there didn't they

if you have not played the pick mans I would recommend it 
it's probably one of few nintendo series I can say has consistent quality throughout its whopping three mainline titles (the phone game and 3ds sidescroller don't count because nobody remembers those though I've heard they actually aren't awful either somehow)
games were good enough to sustain fanbase for a decade
you get to be a little man or multiple little mans running around with a squad of more little mans taking down the big guys and then getting more little mans

games are 5-10 hours short little game with short little guys and I think the genre is called "real time strategy" or something since you can multitask and then accidentally have thirty pikmin die offscreen because they fell into the lake and drowned
there was a switch rerelease of 3 that has a demo so you can tell if you like 
and since there aint no nine year wait like pikmin 2 to 3 (2004 to 2013) or pikmin 3 to 4 (2013 to 2022) it's a good time to get in here so you can wait nine years for pikmin 5 (2022 to 2031)
