Hello folks! I was recently made aware that there's been some activity here, which honestly surprised me because I thought LR was as dead as it gets. In the hopes of maybe getting a community going again I'm doing a site reboot, cleaning out all the old threads to make room for the new. This is going to take a while, but I'll try and have it done soonish. Expect a lot of stuff to vanish, though I will try and save the newest threads from the purge.

Hey! I remember your name! Yeah, this was the first big community I was ever a part of. Loved hanging out here. I really dropped the ball when I was made admin and lost all drive to keep this place going. Can't say the place is looking good with all these photobucket watermarks everywhere, but that's what abandoning a forum for long does I suppose...

I'm surprised you remember the name, I was always quite tertiary, lurked a lot haha. I still remember a lot of the prominent users back in the day. I remember the calendars you would make back in the day too. Everyone gave the forum a different bit of spice/life

I fell out for a while because I was going through some big changes in my life, moved to a different country, started a new life and such. Was sad to see the forums dead by time I got back.

The Photobucket watermarks have come to add their own little flavor to everything haha

yooooo its official we've got an admin on board. kind of a shame the old threads are going away, is the plan to put them in an archive away from the main forum or remove them entirely?

and yeah the photobucket has gotten a bit iconic. wanted to fit in so i took a bit of the aesthetic for inverted reimu pfp here.

i was never an og user but i'm liking how the forums are going so far. thanks for stopping by and doing admin stuff

I was thinking of archiving them, but decided against it because

1. It would take a lot of time to move that many threads into the archive section.

2. I would basically be archiving an entire forum, I.E a *lot* of threads. The archive section would be bloated beyond belief with all kinds of threads. Both the big and interesting ones and the small and non-memorable ones.

In the end I deleted almost every thread. I left the Random!!! thread intact, as well as the old scoreboards as sort of the final windows back into the past of this place. It wasn't an easy decision, especially not for someone like me who gets sentimental easily, but in the end I felt it had to be done. I'd rather have an empty forum than a forum with the corpses of old threads everywhere.

after what happened with shrinemaiden this'd be the second rebooted forum this year huh
it's a shame the old stuff's gone I enjoyed reading posts from like 2008 where people still said "the most epicest thing ever" and misspelled at least four words per sentence lol
though the pain pill guys go along with it so it aint all bad

feel free to post wherever, we are slightly in a lull at the moment because some of us have become very busy recently but threads will surely get responses, and don't worry about responding to older posts. bumps aren't much of a problem at the moment

it's a bit of a shame the old threads are gone, yeah. but post whatever you want man. we have a new art thread but if you wanna make your own go for it. lotsa space in our myriad subforums

This forum has lasted longer than vocaloidotaku, windows messenger, skype, and G+

so far moriya shinr, kalediescope, and doujin style are the others. Maybe I should help give this old board some life again. its been over a decade since i joined and this is like my third post here.

I forgot google plus even died until clicking on a link a few days ago and being greeted with the fact that google plus has been dead for four years

anyway welcome back to forum I thiiiiink we are still technically more active than eientei if you average it out so we are still third most active touhou forum haha yes

still can't believe google plus was allowed to just shut down with no archive. like it wasn't terribly reputable for its quality content but it was a lotta people's work and should at least be read if it can't be write. google isn't terribly hurting for server space!
