Happy 10th anniversary to me signing up here. "Date Registered: 8 Sep 2009 at 00:20"

At this point in time 10 years ago I had just started high school and was being completely irresponsible by staying up really late because earlier in the week I had just discovered Touhou and the whole community built around it, and was forgoing sleep by lurking on the Internet looking for more content.

Since then I:

• Graduated high school
• Got accepted into college
• Graduated college with a Computer Science degree
• Got a job
• Got promoted to a software developer (just last week!)
• Have aged from 14 years to 24 years
• Made a bunch of online friends here and somehow have managed to keep in contact with a handful of them over the course of almost 10 years

It's been a wild ride. It's kind of sad to see this place deserted but at the same time it's nostalgic to look through a handful of threads from years ago and see they're still preserved as they were originally. It's not an exaggeration to say that my time here was really influential to me (I'm still even using the name "hazr" outside of here; it's the only name that's stuck out of the dozen or so I've tried). It sounds very sappy, but it's true and every so often I get sentimental thinking about the people from here.

I'm still around on Twitter for now. I'm @bowsersexer over there atm. hmu and say hi (even just if you wanna be mutuals who hardly interact) if you somehow are reading this years after the fall of this site.

Well, that's all I have for now. Maybe in another 10 years this site will still be standing and I'll come around again.

Very true, most old forums I looked around at before checking back here were inhabited by bots alone.
