I'm new to forums in general so I hope I'm typing in the right place here.

My interests are anime & manga, reading books, and casually playing Touhou - since my PC runs linux, it's hit-or-miss with running many of the games Although I dislike the term "youtuber", I probably am one, since that's where most of my internet activity goes, haha.

I'm looking to branch out into other online communities so that's why I joined here (actually I joined a few days ago but haven't had the time to post).

Welcome to the forums! It's actually possible to run all the official Touhou games in linux (at least I've been able to), so if you need help with that, I'm the one to ask. :3 Have fun, and enjoy your stay~

Sorry I'm not really into anime much so I can't contribute to conversations to do with it usually, although I'm open to it if I have time.
I'm really more so into doujin and obscure indie music, especially Japanese and anything to do with that so yea...

Hi, yeah I noticed that (lurking the sub-forums), hope the activity improves... Perhaps it has to do with life getting busier (college, careers, etc.)?

I kind of see Marisa as the most "Western" character of Touhou (compared with Reimu) at least personality-wise, so that's what piqued my interest hehe.

That's fine, haven't seen a lot of "true doujin" fans, discovery of Touhou seems to be more through the PVs/music ("what anime is this?") these days rather than the games. I first found out about Touhou through Flandre's boss theme, so yeah... I did get a few friends mildly interested via the iOS blatant-copy-of-IN game.

Occasionally I venture over to enjoy the doujin music side, but since I'm not Japanese nor understand it, I usually listen to instrumentals/off-vocal versions.

Welcome to the site though! I'm still struggling to navigate around the site mainly because I'm too lazy to check out all the features and shortcuts.

That's promising and really means something to me then.
Because
someone once told me those exact same words... or very close anyways,
and then they came back a few weeks later.

Then again, the situation was much different...
