Geez, what do I say here? Hello, first, I suppose. I found out about this forum a good long while ago, but just kinda browsed it for a bit, then mostly forgot about it. I recently remembered it existed, and well, here I am. Not sure how active I'll be or how much I'll stick around (I tend to lose interest in things pretty easily; Touhou being one of the very few exceptions... it's been about 3 years.)

I enjoy the games... I recently cleared SA's extra (Which took a long time... Marisa C, for the curious), but I haven't done any other extras, though I've 1cced normal on all of the windows games (haven't touched PC-98 yet). I haven't 1cced anything on hard, so I'm somewhere around there. I've recently started playing Hisoutensoku again, though I've little experience against people.

My favorite character is beyond a shadow of a doubt Satori, though Koishi's high up, too, along with Sanae and Kogasa. I don't really like Reimu or Aya, but the rest of the cast is fun.

Let's see... I'm writing a fanfic... My view of Gensokyo is a somewhat darker one... I.... overuse ellipses... and analogies.

I will say that the thing that really drew me in and kept me interested about Touhou is just how many different ways it can be looked at; the setting and characters are different for everyone, and both collecting others views and making my own interpretations really brings it to life in a personal way. It's like ZUN is making a really awesome skeleton, and the fans flesh it out how they want it (With varying amounts of flesh, maybe swapping out a few bones here and there.) And in the end there's like a whole city of metaphorical people with the same starting skeleton, and you'd never guess it from the diversity you see.

So we'll see how active I am and how long I stick around, but I'm looking forward to the time that I do.

You seem to hit the nail on the head with your description of touhou interpretation. I think that's exactly the way ZUN intended it.

I went ahead and added a link to my Fanfic in my sig. Be warned, it's 'pretty long', rather gritty, and not yet complete; I try to update every other Wednesday night/Thursday morning, but I'm a bit behind this period.

I wouldn't mind checking out some others, if you've got any recommendations.

Looks like two chapters so far, but hey, it's piqued my interest. Not perfect, of course (nothing is), but well written enough. Unless the intent is to be a bit confusing, though (Reality blending being how the device works, or something), I recommend using spacers/transitions when moving between scenes. It was one of the earliest bits of advice I got for my own fanfic, and I'm glad I got it.
