Hello Lunatics,

I am leaving Lunatic Red - again - and this time, it is forever, I guess. Let me explain, why.

The main reason is, that I don't like the "western" fandom anymore. I know, I am from Germany, don't judge me because of that. It's just, that I don't like a lot of the things, which the so-called "fans" outside of Japan do.
The thing, that bothers me the most, is, that most people pirate the games, even when they COULD buy the games. I can understand it, if you download the games, when you just CAN'T buy them for whatever reason, but it just grosses me out, that many people download them and even think, it is okay, even, when they have the money and means to buy them.
A thing, that annoys me about the western fandom as well, is, how disrespectful a lot of people are towards ZUN. Like posting the endings on places they shouldn't, trying to make ZUN fed up, hoping he will add the English patches to his games and stuff. I am using the English patches myself, but only, because I don't speak Japanese. For me, the patches are something useful and not something that "ZUN just has to add to his games".
There are other reasons, why I don't like the western fandom anymore, but those two are the main reasons. And please don't take this personally, it's not intended to be meant for one person in particular, I am talking about the western fandom in general.
I know, I can't join the Japanese fandom (even though I wish, I could), because I am not from Japan nor do I speak Japanese, but I prefer not being part of any fandom than being part of a group of disrespectful self-proclaimed "fans". I always try to be as respectful of ZUN as possible. I know, there are a lot of people here on LR, who also respect ZUN, just like me, but as I said before, I am talking about the western fandom in general. In my opinion, I can be a Touhou fan, even without being part of the fandom.

Another reason, why I am leaving LR, is its inactivity. It just doesn't seem to really increase, LR's best times are over. It's just no fun, when you come back two days later and you see, that there are only five new posts.
My real life is busy enough. Even, if it might sound harsh, I have better things to do, than booting my lappy (which takes like three minutes, it's f*cking slow for some reason) and then read only five new posts.

Please don't think, I hate you guys here, I really liked you and still do. I just think, the western fandom and also LR aren't places, where I can be happy anymore.

Well, though you probably won't see this, I'll type it out anyway. It's been fun having you around. I see your points on the western fandom, but I try not to let it get to me. Even with Touhou being small, there are still people in the fandom who drag everyone down. I just try to look past them, though. If you ever change your mind, we'll all be here, ready to welcome you back with open arms. Until then, take it easy.

I must agree with him though, lately there's been less and less activity to the point where I don't even bother going on Lunatic Red for days because I know there's no point; all the posts

I really wish you'd stay longer, but i guess that won't be happening huh..
I would put a huge topic here about why it's not the western fandom you're hating, but this isn't the time for that. I'll miss you. If you ever come back, we'll welcome you with open arms. If thats your choice, no one's stopping you.
