OK guys so many of you already noticed I'm quite absent here. I decided to really leave for now, as I was lurking for the time being. The forum is/was/will always be a very special place to me, and I do intend to come back to discuss Touhou 13.

Main reasons I am doing this, maybe it'll light some stuff up:

- Upon joining here, I was looking for a touhou forum. One that'd focus more on the canon stuff and game discussion, but then the community showed me more. However it went too far as I saw 90% of the stuff here is moved by fandom. I snapped when I noticed that the place wasn't the same after I missed 20 pages of the create.swf thread, it made me realise it. And well, I wasn't having the same fun anyways. :/

- I rarely ever found a thread where the conversation would go for ages, as most of them can be discussed with one post, for example the favorite bomb one, somewhere in the boards. Countless times I kept hitting F5 in wait for a response, and well, I like to talk. :<

- I don't really see why I'd stay/lurk. All I'm doing here is actually GFX stuff, and ofc lurking in the Touhou 13 threads.

Now, I'm not moving to another touhou forum, as I have my other internet business now. Which is why I plan to come back here someday, to see you guys again.

I could be obstinate and tell you all that I told you so, but instead I would like to say that while LR is indeed a Touhou community, it is much more than just that. LR is a living being that evolves and changes as it is exposed to new people with different personalities. As it expands, it will change into that which has influenced it the most. You might lose contact with old friends due to your interests branching off in different directions. Just like that you might lose the LR flame that kept burning in your heart. There is nothing strange about that and it happens to most, if not all of us.

I agree with Gui for the most part. LR is not like it used to be, but for me, that is not a bad thing. There are things that I miss but there are also things that I used to resent which are now gone.

I have always supported discussions as they help people grasp each others' opinions, but this is something I would rather not see discussed in public. LR is what LR is. There has never been a grand plan or a goal to meet. Many of us did not even expect LR to become more than a hangout for a small group of Touhou lunatics. With our 60+ daily visitors I would say that it has exceeded our expectations by far.

This is not directed towards anyone. I just felt like pouring my heart out in regards of something that is very precious to me.

Gui. I am happy for the time you've spent with us and for all of the smiles that you've induced in the Create.swf thread. Your support in the GFX thread has surely helped a lot of people improve their photo editing skills as well as having given some of our "less receptive" members a good amount of food for thought. We've had our downs you and me, albeit minor. I just want you to know that I wouldn't do anything to spite you or any other member of this forum. I am just stubborn at times and my judgement is clouded due to it. Rest assured the other mods give me a proper lashing when that happens. =P

Which is why I plan to come back here someday, to see you guys again.

For some reason, I knew that you were the going to leave. And yesterday I knew you were going to leave today too! Maybe it's a gut feeling, but I knew it was you.

I understand how you feel about the forum discussions. But even trying to start one back up is hard enough. And the more serious discussions eventually get buried away and locked. Sad, isn't it?

I also really don't see why I stay. As much as I love every single member in LR in a way. There's not any real thing bringing me to come and post now. GFX is also one of my main reasons for staying. (Now those challenges, but...)

I'll be sure to stalk you on DA, and provide some CnC even from there! Just don't be surprised if I don't say aru, aru.

I was wondering where have you been, Gui. You're one of the people who has contributed plenty of relevant and helpful information within the boards, and kept many discussions going.

I know where you're coming from, Gui, and I agree with you when it comes to active discussions. Many threads in the forum do die in a short period of time. There are hundreds of possible reasons why some members seldom (or hardly) participate in threads anymore, and I have no right to spite them for that. People's interests would change over a period of time and they would always find something that they would enjoy doing.

You said you will be back in LR someday, so I'll look forward to that! I am very happy to know that you enjoyed your stay in LR and we truly enjoyed having you here with us. Thanks for all the wonderful fun times Gui and until we see each other again! Take care and Godspeed!

Aww man, I kinda knew this would happen...wasn't expecting it to be this soon though. Well, it's been fun having you here, Gui, really has been. You've always been an awesome GFXer whose improved a lot and at a shorter amount of time than the average GFXer. It's been nice teaching you/learning from you, not just about graphics, but Touhou in general and whatever random stuff we talk about on Skype. And don't worry, you'll still be getting CnC from me via Skype/DA. You'll know it's me when you see Scarlet/Sanaki/Remilia somewhere in my username haha.

But hey, the decision was made, and I'm looking forward to the day I'll meet you guys again due to fate. Be it in an anime convention or in the afterlife, know I'll be looking for you.
