on september 15th 7:40 pst, toby fox concluded the UNDERTALE sixth anniversary livestream with a short playthrough of events immediately following chapter one before announcing that the chapter would be released in its entirety two days later

all signs point to it being free and can be played by itself or with save data carried over from chapter one

i have done an extensive amount of undertale to varying degrees since its initial release in 2015 due to a large amount of reasons and there has been only three major releases since then (fun fix update, deltarune chapter one, alarm app data release) so i would say this is a fairly big deal

i do a bit of internet anthropology and undertale made some really big waves both online and not, and deltarune did to a lesser extent but still caused some massively cool stuff in addition to just being awesome
