how the fuck do I beat 

I have been stuck on this for three weeks

I got stuck on toroko boss for two weeks and finally beat her (;-;) and my hands went numb and my thumb hurt for the next two days
I went through that entire first labyrinth section with only enough hp to take two hits and the shitty thumb
I didn't remember I could shoot the star blocks to break them because I had only been fighting toroko and nothing else for so long so I couldn't save (though I suppose this adds to the experience)
and then I come back from that and get stuck on robot boss for two hours until I finally reach the last part of the game (this one) so that I can get stuck on it for another 69420 years
apparently I wasn't supposed to be able to get here and I was supposed to get some easier first-timer babby mode cave or something
is this like getting neutral in SMTIV without whipping out the google spreadsheets 

anyway on like ten different occasions I have spent ~15 minutes grinding hearts and weapon level on the bees halfway through because I no longer believe I have any chance at doing this without cheese
and I made it to the red asshole TWICE but then died almost immediately both times because he is too fast


I am guessing at least three people here wink wink uhh what was it again

i have no idea what the smt4 thing means but uh probably yes
you are 1000% not supposed to be here on your first playthrough
in fact this whole last cave section (and the whole last level/bosses after it) were made after the entire game was basically done, and the first-timer babby mode version was supposed to be the actual ending
but the creator's friends said they wanted an extra challenge for super hardcore platform gamers, so he added this in while making the path to get there so secret and obscure that absolutely nobody could possibly find it on their first playthrough
getting this on the first playthrough is such a huge difficulty spike and i am so so sorry

anyways so for the actual platforming uhh
not sure how exactly to say it
with the spikes, movement must be very methodical
just remember a specific path and take it as slow or as fast as you need to
take out enemies one at a time if you must
you have the spur and nemesis so you should prob exclusively be using them
use the lv1 nemesis on those hopping critter things and use the spur on everything else

for the big red asshole at the top
he's got a very predictable pattern
shoot 3 things on the ground in place, then jump towards you and shoot 3 things while jumping, then shoot while standing, then shoot while jumping, etc.
try to remember where you were when he started throwing those spikey things
its a very specific point in that room
before you get to that specific point, charge up the spur to lv3, and be prepared to do this:

"the milisecond you see him throwing those spiky things, jump up and move towards him; you should avoid the 3 spiky things he throws. after this he'll jump up and shoot at you, and all you gotta do here is walk under him and shoot upwards with the nemesis or a charged spur shot." rinse and repeat until he's dead
that's basically the safest way to take him out; you don't even need to use the booster

also if you still have the life pot then DO NOT USE IT

yeah I did not want to use guide because this was my retreat from checking fire emblem wiki dot com every single chapter across like seven games to completely make sure I don't miss recruitments or accidentally go to sacae
I do not know the requirements I just did what made sense but when looking it up I see a bunch of different stuff with the only consistent elements being get booster 2.0 and save curly but I got booster 2.0 in a cutscene and how would man not save curly

probably should have just downloaded the original one and played on pc I am paying for my crimes of piracy in blood (cave)

upon looking it up I have realized I forgot to return the funny man to his house in pursuit of mushroom and now the block crusher guys are preventing me from going down 
probably I should not commit the crime of trading king's soul for lightning thing regardless though
I did keep polar star though because snake did not trade the socom for meryl's desert eagle!!! so I still have spur for the hard times

ok after an attempt I noticed what you mean
that little cheese spot where he can't hit and now he is finally dead after taking more missiles than metal gear rex

ok I got past all the guys that kill in one hit but
still no save point

ok I see there is misery and then doktor boss fight right after no saves no heal (I died immediately) so I think this is the part where I do that not right now and I do it later instead
I have completed red land though thanks now the next suffering is this

and oh my gosh you actually did it with no guide

the only really obscure thing is when professor booster falls down a hole in the labyrinth, right before that fight with balrog
99.99% of players follow him into the hole to see if he's okay, and then talk to him
he gives them the booster v0.8 (less cool version of the booster 2.0) and then dies of injuries from the fall
i'd wager jumping over the hole goes against most gamers' common sense, and on top of that, you gotta really frickin try to get it
the jump is almost pixel-perfect, and if you miss it then you gotta close the game and try it again
there is pretty much no logical reason that professor booster dies if you talk to him and lives if you don't, other than some fan theory stuff about how he "loses the will to live if you talk to him", and there's also no given reason that he was able to fully heal himself AND upgrade the v0.8 into the v2.0
not only that, but for literally ZERO logical reason, the tow rope item doesn't spawn if you talk to him and get the v0.8
and since you can't use the rope to carry curly, you're forced to leave her in the core room forever

so yeah

after jumping over that big hole you just gotta be observant, but that first step is so crazy that almost nobody gets it on their first go

immediately after you beat the doctor boss fight, talk to the purple mimiga twice

ok I also read about a booster 0.8 in the library in the most recent save room but I thought there was just one booster and it was 2.0
had no memory of him falling into a hole but upon looking at a utoob video of a version that looks worse:

huh yeah I guess he did
what I also saw when looking for balrog fights was right before this fight was the robot guy
and hoo boy let me tell you bout mr "monster x" robot man

I spent like
ninety minutes on that fight 
and then I went back to save
and got crushed and died on the block that moves up
after another god knows how long of attempts I went forward and since that room is right after I saved and immediately fucked off because the labyrinth is a pain in my ass (and when I fuck off that means I don't come back for like ten days)
in that image the hole looks like an endless pit so probably I just kept going after starting back up and instead of being left to die, booster was left to... live???

I read the dialogue he has down there
and it allllmost sounds to me like he's putting his hope in robot man (I still don't know his name is it quote I heard someone say "cave story quote" before) and letting him continue on by giving the incomplete booster for him to escape the pit and he dies because he can no longer escape the pit himself
he still does die immediately so I have no idea why that happened I assumed he would have just sat there and never showed up again
but I dunno maybe he boosted up to the heart container up there or some shit if you don't talk to him lamo
personally I find the most entertainment in a misinterpretation of what you presented, "loses the will to live if you talk to him", where the player is so undesirable that booster fucking dies upon witnessing their foul form once more (think the ugly barnacle by philosopher Patrick Star)

I can definitely see how that would make getting red cave (pain) much more unlikely because the scenario doesn't really clearly show that he would live if you didn't talk to him and thus we are left to theories and comedy
at least there's a save point nearby I suppose (and the game does not let you pick a save slot :))))))))))))))))

ok I do not know when the real final level is but hopefully after I go through all five fake final levels and defeat god I can finally use my life pot on the true final boss, baldog
